Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo on Wednesday led a high-level meeting with County Executive Committee Members to review key financial and policy documents that will guide the county’s next phase of development.
The team examined the Budget Estimates for 2025/2026, the proposed Finance Bill 2025, and the County Budget Review and Outlook Paper 2025. These documents set out how Isiolo will allocate resources, enforce fiscal discipline, and fund priority sectors. Officials described the discussions as data-driven and focused on long-term stability. Governor Guyo called for precise budgeting that reflects the county’s real needs.
Leaders also reviewed the Annual Development Plan for 2026/2027, which highlights strategic investments in infrastructure, service delivery, and sustainable growth. The governor urged the executive to align these plans with emerging challenges and new opportunities across the county.
Education remained a major focus. The session revisited the ECDE Bill 2024 and assessed the framework for bursaries and scholarships. Governor Guyo reaffirmed the county’s commitment to improving early childhood education and expanding equitable access to learning.
