Hala Nairobi Airport Services has launched a groundbreaking initiative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) called Airport Mtaani, aimed at revolutionizing luggage collection and coordination for travelers. This innovative service is set to redefine the airport experience, providing unparalleled convenience and efficiency to passengers.
Appointed by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Hala Nairobi Airport Services will oversee the management of unaccompanied luggage at JKIA in collaboration with contracted ground handlers and airlines. This strategic partnership underscores KAA’s commitment to enhancing passenger experience and elevating airport services to meet international standards.
Hon. Caleb Kositany, Chairman of the KAA Board, highlighted the streamlined process offered by Airport Mtaani, emphasizing the elimination of the need for passengers to undergo security screening solely to check on their baggage. “Gone are the days of having to go through security screening just to check on your baggage. This streamlined process saves time for passengers upon arrival,” noted Kositany.
Furthermore, Airport Mtaani is working closely with all airlines to ensure comprehensive information is readily available for luggage inquiries. This proactive approach enables passengers to quickly ascertain the status of their luggage without unnecessary delays, enhancing overall travel experience.
Gor Selina, Acting General Manager of JKIA, acknowledged the growing demand for luggage delivery services amidst modern travel complexities. “Passengers value simplified experiences as airports get busier and security tighter,” Gor emphasized.
As Hala Nairobi Airport Services introduces Airport Mtaani, travelers can expect a seamless and efficient luggage handling process at JKIA, setting a new standard for airport services in Kenya.
