Isiolo County has today integrated all its employees into the Jubilee Health Insurance scheme to ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage.
The new medical cover will include outpatient and inpatient services, dental and optical care, pre-existing and chronic illness coverage, HIV & AIDS treatment, maternity services (including caesarean sections), preterm and congenital conditions, post-hospitalization care, and psychiatric support.
In a phone interview, the County Secretary reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of county employees. The insurance coverage takes effect immediately, with all employees enrolled through the digital platform M-Tiba, which will send real-time alerts whenever they access medical services.
“Every employee will receive instant notifications on their phones upon hospital visits,” confirmed an M-Tiba customer care representative.
County staff have welcomed the move, calling it a step in the right direction. “We are delighted with this medical cover. Now, both we and our families can access healthcare whenever needed,” said Mr. Adan, a county employee.
