Isiolo County Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan, popularly known as Governor Guyo, has remained resolute in the face of political scrutiny, affirming his administration’s dedication to advancing the development agenda in the region.
During a poignant address at the World Water Day commemoration event, Governor Guyo took a defiant stance against recent allegations leveled by Senator Fatuma Dullo, reaffirming his commitment to uplifting the lives of Isiolo residents.
Amidst accusations of stalled development projects, Governor Guyo pointed to the significant progress achieved on key initiatives, notably the Isiolo Export Abattoir. He emphasized his administration’s pivotal role in revitalizing the project, which had languished for years, and steering it to 96% completion.
In a bold rebuttal to Senator Dullo’s criticisms, Governor Guyo questioned her credibility, highlighting her role in obstructing the issuance of Title Deeds to Isiolo residents. He challenged her commitment to serving the interests of the people, calling attention to actions that have hindered community empowerment.
Undaunted by political adversity, Governor Guyo reaffirmed his promise to the electorate, citing tangible achievements such as the drilling of strategic boreholes, rehabilitation of water infrastructure, and implementation of the SWASAP project benefitting households across the county.
The event, attended by esteemed county officials, community leaders, and stakeholders, served as a testament to Governor Guyo’s unwavering leadership and determination to deliver on his pledges despite challenges from political opponents.
