In the latest Isiolo County poll, incumbent Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan popularly known as Governor Guyo, garnered significant support from the electorate, solidifying his position as a leading candidate and bolstering his approval ratings. Conducted in April 2024, the polls revealed Governor Guyo’s impressive lead, securing 56.07% of the total votes and highlighting the trust and confidence residents have in his leadership.
The polling methodology employed a straw poll approach, allowing residents to express their preferences in an ad hoc and unofficial manner. With strict regulations permitting only one vote per IP address, the process aimed to ensure fairness and prevent manipulation. Spanning three days, the voting period facilitated widespread participation, capturing the genuine sentiment of the electorate.
Senator Fatuma Dullo Adan emerged as a significant contender with 20.63% of the votes, reflecting her prominent role in Isiolo’s political landscape. Nevertheless, Governor Guyo’s dominant lead underscored his prominence in the race.
