The new bridge enhances safety and security for pedestrians, motorists, and livestock, which is crucial for a progressive society. Previously, floods and storm waters swept away people, motorcycles, and bicycles, forcing pupils to miss school and disrupting local businesses. With the bridge now in use, those challenges have been eliminated, ensuring uninterrupted learning and trade.

Residents have lauded the project as a game changer for the community and a symbol of responsive leadership. During an inspection and acceptance tour, the Acting County Chief Officer for Environment and Climate Change reaffirmed that Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan remains committed to his transformative agenda for the people of Isiolo. He noted that despite attempts by the opposition to frustrate progress for selfish political gain, the county government is firmly focused on service delivery. He urged critics to stop spreading politics of hate and division and wait for 2027.

The successful completion of the Kamukuri Bridge is a clear demonstration of the county government’s resolve to deliver projects that directly improve lives and livelihoods.
