Officers domiciled at Muthara Police Station in Meru’s Tigania East Sub-County intercepted a brazen drug trafficking operation. Leading to the apprehension of a motorcycle rider transporting a staggering 30 kilograms of Cannabis sativa.
In Nyamira, Police officers halted a Nissan Tiida vehicle, uncovering five sacks of marijuana concealed within the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is estimated at Sh 5 million.
These recent interceptions serves as a warning by Kenyan authorities, combatting the scourge of drug trafficking. As the nation intensifies its crackdown on narcotics, the DCI urged communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
