UDA Prepares for Grassroots Elections

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party’s National Election Board (NEB) recently concluded crucial meetings with aspirants and leaders from Phase One counties. These counties, including Nairobi, Narok, Homabay, Isiolo, West-Pokot, Busia, and Garissa, are gearing up for elections on April 26, 2024.

The meeting that commenced on April 11, 2024, served as a platform for the NEB to discuss the party’s readiness for the upcoming polls. The NEB also listened to concerns raised by aspirants, reaffirming their commitment to conducting credible elections.

UDA Party aspirants drawn from Isiolo county expressed their satisfaction with the preparation made by the National Elections Board (NEB) for the upcoming Elections. The team led by former Governor, Godana Doyo and Hussein Tene, noted that the grassroots elections will strengthen the Party, increasing its vibrancy in Northern Kenya based counties.

Aspirants actively participated in these meetings, providing valuable input into election preparations. The NEB expressed gratitude for their contributions, recognizing their importance in ensuring the success of the electoral process.

Looking ahead, the NEB announced plans to educate party members about the elections through grassroots mobilization initiatives. With the elections being conducted electronically for the first time, it’s essential to prepare members for this historic change.

As the April 26 deadline approaches, the NEB reaffirmed their commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. Party officials stated that, the active engagement of party members is crucial in upholding democratic principles and ensuring the success of the electoral process.
